Originally from Harlem, New York, Mr. Kevin Brinson is an accomplished accounting, financial operations and tax professional with over 15 years of experience working in the corporate, healthcare, small business and not-for-profit sectors. As a Partner of Brinson, Cruz & Associates, Accounting and Tax Specialists, LLC, Mr. Brinson is an IRS tax specialist and manages the daily financial operations of the Westchester County firm which include, but not limited to, new business development, small business consulting and preparing federal, state and local tax returns for individuals, not-for-profits, small businesses and corporations. At Brinson, Cruz & Associates, Accounting and Tax Specialists, LLC, the business philosophy is to service every client with the 3-A’s-accuracy, attention and accountability. This philosophy is one that Mr. Brinson has believed in his entire career.

In the healthcare field, Mr. Brinson began his career as a Respiratory Therapist. Showing great attention to detail complemented by his business acumen, Mr. Brinson rose quickly to the position of Associate Director of Hospitals. In that role, Mr. Brinson oversees the daily operations of Respiratory Care Services and Non-Invasive Cardiology for the North Bronx Healthcare Network, which includes both Jacobi Medical Center and North Central Bronx Hospitals. Mr. Brinson is also accountable for 90 supervisory and line personnel, fiscal operations and planning, performance improvement and daily operations. Mr. Brinson has consistently improved efficiency and maintained a high standard of excellence within the Network.

Mr. Brinson’s education and professional licenses include being a graduate of Lehman College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting; a graduate of the Borough of Manhattan Community College with a Associate degree in Applied Science in Respiratory Care and registry by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Currently, Mr. Brinson is pursuing his Masters of Business Administration degree (MBA) with a concentration in Taxation.

To complement his active professional schedule, Mr. Brinson believes in giving back to his community and volunteers for a number of professional and community organizations. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Association of Respiratory Care, the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc., the National Society of Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, a member of Grace Baptist Church and serves as the Keeper of Exchequer and Executive Board Member of the New Rochelle-White Plains Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated.
