Camden, South Carolina

Educated in the AME scholastic system of Camden, SC  transferred to the City of New Rochelle Public School system and graduated with Honors from NRHS; Attended  West Virginia State College, initiated into The Bond of Fraternity ( Tau Chapter) 1949, graduated with Honors from West Virginia State College (1950); Attended Columbia University's Political Science Masters Program; Recently celebrated 45 years of marriage to Mary Jane (Eccles), father of three children Doreen J.,  James W. Jr. and Marc T., grandfather to Brittney Alexander; Maintained a distinguished 30 year career at the United Nations Headquarters in NYC recipient of numerous awards for outstanding service to the agency as well as commendations from the Secretary General of The United Nations; Life Member of this Illustrious Fraternity and  Charter Member of the New Rochelle-White Plains Alumni Chapter;  Recognized for Outstanding Service to the Fraternity and will be a honored the 50 Years of Service to the Fraternity at the upcoming North Eastern Province Meeting.
